We purchased two female juvenile huacayas in 2003, and set about getting the ranch ready for them to arrive. After a frantic Summer and Fall of changing fences, and establishing pastures, we had the ranch ready for our “herd”. Now, several years later, Vicki runs the day to day operations, with Leonard and Cynthia’s help, and on the weekends, Dennis continues to work on the list of ranch projects that never seems to grow smaller. Our herd has grown to 16 alpacas, and we currently agist 26 alpacas for other ranchers who are building their herds in preparation for their move to their new ranch homes.
